Step into the spotlight with your original short play at the Brisk Festival 2024, where creativity knows no bounds and every genre finds a home. This year, we’re casting our net wider than ever, seeking out unique short plays in both English and Spanish. Whether you’ve crafted a comedy that leaves audiences in stitches, a drama that tugs at the heartstrings, a thrilling edge-of-your-seat masterpiece, or an innovative musical that gets toes tapping, we want to hear from you. Your work could grace the stages of Los Angeles in August 2024, Mexico City in October 2024, or Buenos Aires in November 2024, bringing your vision to life in front of an eager audience.

Here’s what you need to know to get your script from page to stage:

Duration: Keep it concise; your play should run no longer than 10 minutes.
Genres: All are welcome. Surprise us with your creativity!
Submission Deadlines: Los Angeles entries by March 31st, 2024, and Buenos Aires entries by May 31st, 2024.
Cost: Submitting your script and production proposal is completely free.
Requirements: Your submission must include the names of the writer, director, and at least one actor. Changes to the cast post-selection are permissible.

We’re on the lookout for high-quality, original work that hasn’t been performed in the same city it’s being submitted to. If your play has been staged elsewhere, we’re excited to consider it for our festival lineup. Please provide details of any previous performances in your submission.

By entering my script to the brisk festival I am agreeing to the following:
1.I am the writer or authorized person with the rights of the script, thus I consent the organizers of the brisk festival to use the script in the city this production has been submitted for.
2. My play should be able to be performed in less than 10 min long.
3. If my production proposal is selected to participate in the brisk festival I acknowledge that none of the artists involved (writer, director, actors) will receive any income or royalties for those performances. Nevertheless we will qualify to receive awards or any other type of incentive.
4. In the event my production proposal is selected, I allow the brisk festival to record it, film it or photograph it to help promote our play and the brisk festival in any type of platform or media.
5. I understand that in order to have my production proposal produced at the brisk festival, it may need to be adjusted to the festival needs or requirements.
6. All my personal details supplied on this submission form should remain confidential and should only be used by the brisk festival employees for communication purposes.
7. If my script/production is selected, my name could be used for marketing purposes.
